Lydia Action is a Malawian development and humanitarian organisation founded in 2020 as a spawn of Lydia Foundation, a charitable initiative founded in 1998 by Dr. Rachel Nyagondwe Fiedler (then Rachel Banda).

Lydia Action is registered with Malawi’s Non-Governmental Organisations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) and is a member of the Malawi Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (CONGOMA).

Lydia Action works with disadvantaged communities to empower the most vulnerable women and children, as well as youth and older people. Its programmes are aimed at promoting and addressing issues concerning women’s economic empowerment, education, employment, agriculture, human rights, emergency response, and climate change.
